Description
Environmental Science is a comprehensive high school course that explores the biological, physical, and sociological principles that shape the environment and the biosphere. Students will investigate natural systems on Earth, biogeochemical cycles, the flow of matter and energy, populations, ecosystems, ecological pyramids, natural resources, biodiversity, pollution, and conservation. The course integrates scientific inquiry skills, encouraging students to ask questions, evaluate claims, form hypotheses, and draw evidence-based conclusions. Through case studies, activities, and virtual labs, students engage with real-world environmental challenges and develop their critical thinking, writing, and communication skills. They also learn how technology and engineering can help create a sustainable future for the biosphere.
